The FDI Suppliers Catalog is a platform created by PROCOMER and managed by its Investment Division. It allows service companies established in Costa Rica to showcase their expertise and provide advisory services to foreign investors interested in setting up operations in the country.

No. Registration in the FDI Suppliers Catalog is completely free of charge.

The Catalog is publicly accessible. Anyone visiting the website where it is hosted can view its contents.

No. Only service companies that fall within the established categories are accepted in the Catalog.

To register, the following requirements must be met:

a) Select the category in which your company should be listed. Available categories can be consulted at the following link: Catálogo de Proveedores – Catálogo de Proveedores

b) Complete the online registration form at the following link: https://suppliers.investincr.com/oferta-del-proveedor/

c) Be registered with and up to date on obligations to the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) and national taxes.

d) Have no outstanding debts with PROCOMER, if you have used our services or participated in trade fairs.

e) Complete the sworn statement on the Catalog’s registration platform.

f) Provide a certificate of legal personality (legal entity certificate) issued within the last month, certifying the company’s existence, good standing, and the authority of its legal representative. In the case of a special power of attorney, the specific acts authorized must be expressly stated, in accordance with Article 1256 of the Civil Code..

g) Submit at least three (3) client or project reference letters.

h) Ensure that staff have an advanced command of English and are trained to advise investors. Specify if additional languages are spoken.

i) Provide direct contact details for up to two (2) company representatives (landline, mobile, and email).

j) Have a corporate website available in both Spanish and English.

No. Only one category per company is allowed. If your services fall under more than one category, you must choose the one in which you wish to register.

No. Only legal entities are accepted. However, you may contact [email protected] to check if you qualify to register in the Linkages Catalog managed by PROCOMER’s Export Division.

If the company does not meet all the requirements established to register in the Supplier Catalog for Foreign Direct Investment, observations will be made so that the company can correct the deficiencies in the registration application. This will be notified to the email address indicated in the application.

If your services do not fit within the existing categories, your company cannot be registered in the Catalog.

No, you will not have to start the registration process again. In the same notification sent to the email address provided in the application, in addition to the deficiencies to be corrected in the registration request, the option will be given so that, once the deficiency or deficiencies have been remedied, the applicant only needs to complete or include the information that must be corrected.

Your company must be fully up to date with CCSS and tax obligations to be included in the Catalog. Any outstanding debts must be settled before registration.

Yes. Two formats are available on the registration platform:

• One for companies applying under the “Free Trade Zone Parks” category that have not yet started operations.
• Another for companies applying under any other category, including “Free Trade Zone Parks” with ongoing operations.

The sworn statement must be completed and signed directly on the registration platform. The legal entity certificate and the three reference letters must also be uploaded through the same platform.

You must provide at least three (3) reference letters from clients or projects directly related to the category in which you are applying.

Once the application has been completed and the corresponding documentation attached, it will be reviewed by PROCOMER. If the requirements are met, the company will be included in the Supplier Catalog for Foreign Direct Investment; otherwise, the deficiencies to be corrected will be indicated, which must be addressed through the same registration platform. If the application is rejected, the reason(s) will be stated.

The registration status or the deficiencies to be corrected will be communicated to the email address provided in the application.

PROCOMER will review your application within ten (10) business days of submission.

Yes. You may update your company’s information at any time on the platform. PROCOMER will review the updates within ten (10) business days and approve them if applicable, so they appear on your company profile.

No. PROCOMER officials are not allowed to recommend suppliers. The Catalog is provided as a resource, and it is up to investors to decide which suppliers to contact.

Yes. Since the Catalog is public, investors can contact suppliers directly.

The supplier may be contacted by an officer of PROCOMER’s Investment Division, at the investor’s request, or directly by the investor, since the Suppliers Catalog for Foreign Direct Investment is publicly accessible.

Contact with a supplier from the Supplier Catalog for Foreign Direct Investment depends on whether the investor expresses interest to PROCOMER in order to schedule a meeting, or on whether the investor directly contacts the supplier after reviewing the catalog, which is publicly accessible.

Suppliers will be contacted through the email and phone numbers provided in the application. It is important to keep this information updated and checked regularly.
